What we do
Every Thursday, the same table
Wake Cup is a group of people who run and work in small businesses across Wake County. We meet every Thursday at 8:00 AM at Unhinged Coffee & Co. in Knightdale, get to know each other's work, and send each other business the rest of the week.
- Referrals, not leads. Warm introductions from people who know your work.
- One-on-ones. Between Thursdays, members meet for coffee and learn each other’s business.
- Local and early. Owners and managers from around Wake County, done before the workday starts.
How a Thursday goes
Under an hour, done by 9:00 AM.
Welcome
Grab a coffee and find the Wake Cup table. We start at 8:00 AM, welcome guests and pass business cards around.
Introductions
Thirty seconds each, members first, then guests: what you do and who you’d like to meet.
Member spotlight
One member takes five minutes on their business and the referral they want most, then a short lesson for everyone.
Referrals and one-on-ones
Members pass referrals, and everyone books a one-on-one before they leave.

What does it cost to join?
Dues and details are in the application. Ask us at the table if you'd rather talk it through.
What if someone in my line of work is already a member?
Ask us. We'll tell you who's at the table and how we handle overlap.
What should I bring?
Business cards and an idea of who you'd like to meet. Coffee's on you.
Why is it called Wake Cup?
Wake for Wake County, home to Knightdale. Cup for the coffee we meet over.
